Summary
- A technical Lead, also known as a Technical Team Lead or Engineering Lead, is a professional responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of a project or team.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to complete tasks.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and deliver projects, aligning with business objectives.
- Architecture and Design*: Define and implement the technical architecture and design of projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Coding and Development: Participate in coding and development activities, setting standards for coding quality, testing, and documentation.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach team members to improve their technical skills and knowledge.
- Technical Debt Management: Identify, prioritize, and address technical debt, ensuring the team’s codebase remains maintainable and efficient.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Technical Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve the team’s technical capabilities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the team’s projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the team’s technical processes, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry best practices.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills in programming languages, software development methodologies, and relevant technologies.
- Leadership and Management: Proven experience leading technical teams, with excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Communication and Interpersonal: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing technical landscapes, priorities, and deadlines.
Salary
- N250,000 – N350,000 Monthly.
