Job Title: Websites Maintenance Intern (NYSC)

Description
- We are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Websites Maintenance Intern (NYSC) in our Abuja Office.
Responsibilities
The Web Maintenance Intern (NYSC) will be expected to carry out the following activities:
- Maintain WordPress websites with a focus on aesthetics, usability, consistency and performance.
- Monitor, maintain, and update three or more organizations’ websites.
- Ensuring that the websites are protected by enabling the appropriate security measures.
- Perform regular updates and maintenance to ensure websites’ security and performance.
- Ensuring website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
- Improving the user experience of the websites regularly.
- Conducting content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
- Integrate and manage content, ensuring it is displayed effectively and engagingly.
- Work closely with content creators, and developers to align website design with overall branding and visibility strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor, which may include data analysis, data visualization, graphic design, content writing, administrative tasks, among others.
Qualifications / Requirements (Mandatory)
- HND or B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or any other relevant discipline.
- Prior experience in maintaining websites required. Strong understanding of web design principles and best practices.
- High proficiency in WordPress. including theme and plugin customization.
- Good understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently, and enlist support, when needed.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
- Ability to comply with standard practices, regulations and statutes.
- Impeccable integrity and sensitivity to working in a culturally diverse organization.
Preferred Qualifications / Requirements (Not Mandatory):
- Familiarity with website theme and plugin customizations including Elementor “preferred but not compulsory”.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics “preferred but not compulsory”.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) an advantage
- Proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, MySQL, and JavaScript will be an advantage.
- Technical skills and competency in using data analytics software like PowerBI, advanced Excel, and Tableau will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with R, Stata, or SPSS will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research processes is also an added advantage.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- 2025 Corps Members currently in or about to enter the NYSC orientation camp are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must have been deployed to Abuja or have plans to redeploy to Abuja.
