Job Title: Finance and Accounts Officer
Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)
Job Type: Full Time
Key Responsibilities
Financial Transactions & Record Keeping:
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management:
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in managing cash flow and ensuring sufficient funds for operations.
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
- Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
Regulatory Compliance & Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare supporting documents for audits and liaise with auditors.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial laws and accounting best practices.
Other Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Assist in financial process improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance & Accounts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must be 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the renewable energy or related industry.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP).
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.

- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
