Job Description
- The Team Lead, Pressure Part is responsible for overseeing the inspection, maintenance, and repair of boiler pressure parts and associated systems to ensure optimal plant performance, reliability, and safety.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate all maintenance activities related to boiler pressure parts (e.g., boiler tubes, headers, heat exchangers, drums, and water walls).
- Plan, schedule, and execute hydrostatic test, Leak test and NDT on the boiler pressure system.
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conduct root cause analysis of pressure part failures and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor the condition of boiler components and recommend timely replacement or repair based on inspections and diagnostics.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and HSE teams to ensure safe and efficient maintenance practices.
- Prepare and manage maintenance work orders, reports, technical documentation, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure adherence to OEM standards, regulatory guidelines, and Egbin’s operational procedures.
- Participate in major outage planning, execution, and post-outage reviews for continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior engineers and technicians within the team.
- Drive a culture of safety and operational excellence in all maintenance activities.
- Perform a covering role in the absence of the Unit Head, Boiler
- Perform other duties as assigned by other Unit Heads/Head of Section/ Head of Department.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Seven (7) years of work experience with at least 3 years at a supervisory level and direct exposure to Mechanical and power plant maintenance processes.
- Proven expertise in pressure part systems within large-scale steam power generation facilities.
- Strong knowledge of power plant safety procedures, maintenance best practices, and regulatory standards (e.g., ASME, OSHA).
- Experience with CMMS tools for maintenance planning and reporting (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
- OEM training/certification on boiler systems (an added advantage).
- A postgraduate/relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Experience and working exposure in the maintenance of boiler systems, pressure parts and auxiliaries
- In-depth understanding of boiler pressure systems
- Sound Technical Troubleshooting Skills
- Good reporting and documentation practice
- Deep knowledge of safety requirements and environmental aspects
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures for the maintenance of boiler pressure part systems and auxiliaries
- Good knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems or their equivalent.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Engineering Design and P&ID
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Sound knowledge of power generation processes
- Knowledge of modern maintenance management practices and spares inventory management

2). Security Operations Manager

Job Description
- Security Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating security operational activities to effectively deal with uncertainty and associated enterprise security risks and opportunities, enhancing the unit’s capacity to build value for the business.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement industry best practices, advanced techniques, and solutions within the security professional discipline to develop standards, processes and procedures.
- Administration of security programs and procedures for classified or sensitive materials, documents and equipment.
- Preparation of manuals establishing procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting access to restricted areas, records and materials.
- Coordinate security compliance audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Liaise with the government security agencies.
- Lead all due diligence and investigation-related functions.
- Responsible for quality assurance and safety orders in the department.
- Oversees effective functionality of the Security Operations Control Room and armed response team.
- Coordinates journey management and executes protection activities.
- Implement security programmes.
- Ensure that all the new hires and armed security personnel deployed to the Egbin Power plant are properly inducted.
- Update security incident and risk register.
- Prepare routine reports.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Head of security.
- Implement data protection policies and practices of Egbin Power Plc.
- Ensure compliance with the NDPR and other data protection laws, and data protection policies.
- Ensure awareness of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018) and the implications of not conforming with the requirements.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
- A post-graduate degree or relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage
- Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience; two (2) of which must be in the security industry.
Skills and Competencies:
- Must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently across a diverse program landscape.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines is also required.
- Possess the ability to assist in security plan process improvements and implementation of security requirements across the site.
- Should possess the ability to prepare manuals to address regulatory requirements and assist in establishing appropriate procedures.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate and present concise, intelligent, decisive, and risk-managed recommendations.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to work with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Effective teaming and virtual teaming skills are also required.
- Will possess strong organizational skills and have a strong working knowledge of physical and personnel security requirements.
- Must have the ability to support off-hour operations requirements as needed.
