Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled HR Manager to oversee and implement strategic human resource initiatives, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and compliance for our engineering firm.
  • The ideal candidate will drive HR efficiencies, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a high-performance work culture aligned with the company’s business objectives.

Responsibilities
Strategic HR Management:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Track and achieve 90% of HR strategic goals within the fiscal year.
  • Ensure HR policies, processes, and programs support business growth and efficiency.

Talent Acquisition & Retention:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, ensuring vacant positions are filled within 15 days.
  • Optimize hiring processes and leverage recruitment platforms for efficiency.
  • Develop retention strategies to enhance workforce stability and engagement.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Conduct annual compensation benchmarking to keep packages within the top 20% of industry standards.
  • Collaborate with management to structure competitive salary and benefits plans.

Employee Engagement & Performance Management:

  • Implement engagement surveys and ensure 85% or higher employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee performance review processes, ensuring 95% completion on schedule.
  • Develop training programs with at least 85% employee completion annually.
  • Measure and improve workforce productivity through engagement programs.

HR Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular HR audits to maintain compliance standards.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce organizational vulnerabilities.

Workplace Safety & Administrative HR:

  • Ensure timely incident reporting (95% within 24 hours) and compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Manage visa and work permit processing, ensuring timely renewals.
  • Oversee insurance claims, ensuring 90% processing efficiency.
  • Improve operational efficiency by 25% through process optimization.

HR Analytics & Reporting:

  • Utilize Odoo HR analytics to track key metrics and inform data-driven HR decisions.
  • Develop reports on employee performance, retention, and engagement for senior management.

Vendor & Cost Management:

  • Negotiate vendor contracts and reduce HR-related operational costs by 15%.
  • Oversee third-party service providers related to recruitment, training, and benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in the engineering or technical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR compliance.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, training & development, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in HR software (Odoo, SAP, or similar HRMS) is an add advantage.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to implement strategic HR initiatives and align them with business goals.
  • HR certifications (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) are an added advantage.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, or technical industries is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Salary
N350,000 – N400,000 Monthly.
