Job Title: Learning and Development Intern

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Employment Type: Internship

Work Schedule: Hybrid

Overview

  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Learning and Development Intern to support our Training, Assessment and Certification Department.
  • This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in administrative tasks, training coordination, and professional development initiatives.
  • The intern will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of various learning and development activities while representing the manager in meetings and other engagements.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:

  • Manage schedules, appointments, and training calendars for the Training, Assessment and Certification Department.
  • Prepare and organize documentation, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant feedback, and other relevant data.

Training Coordination:

  • Assist in planning and organizing training sessions, workshops, and other learning events.
  • Communicate with facilitators, participants, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of programs.
  • Monitor and track attendance, training materials, and post-training evaluations.

Meeting Representation:

  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Training, Assessment and Certification Manager and provide comprehensive notes and action points.
  • Communicate relevant updates and information to stakeholders as required.

Communication and Liaison:

  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to training and development.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment of training objectives and outcomes.

Other Duties:

  • Support in drafting and editing training materials.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by the Training, Assessment and Certification Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field with 0-1 year work experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools.
  • A proactive approach with a strong ability to work independently.
