Job Title: Experienced Female Accountant in the Real Estate & Estate Development
Location: Ibeju Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger to track all income statements and expenses.
- Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger (GL), and daily accounting operations.
- Reconcile all business accounts to ensure records match up and no transaction gets lost.
- Enter financial data into computer software, ensuring all bills and invoices are filed correctly.
- Follow up with accounts payable vendors, keep in touch for collections, and ensure bills are paid on time.
- Prepare for quarterly reporting using standard best practices and assist in monthly closings.
- Assist the real estate team or other staff accountants with other accounting duties as needed.
- Work with Sale Admin Officer reporting to the COO and Sales Manager to ensure timely payments by sending payment reminders and communicating directly with clients regarding outstanding invoices.
- Generate reports for financial analysis, such as accounts receivable aging reports, credit control reports, and other trend analyses.
- Reconcile sales receipts and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register and prepare fixed asset schedules, depreciation schedules, and related journal entries.
- Collaborate and provide support to operations teams across overseas offices.
- Contribute to the month-end closing process by assisting with task completion and preparing necessary schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong personal qualities including proactiveness, self-motivation, meticulous attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.
Salary
N250,0000 – N300,000 / month.
