Title: Accounts Admin Assistant

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Tasks The Accounts Admin Assistant performs the following tasks:

  • Ensuring compliance with all recordkeeping requirements of GIZ.
  • Is responsible for receiving and distributing documents within the accounts unit.
  • Checks the vouchers and receipts submitted by the projects/programmes for completeness. Is responsible for filling in line with GIZ filling structure.
  • Assist with Inventory management Assists with monitoring of receivables

Tasks

Electronic Archiving of Accountng Vouchers:

  • Prepare voucher documents for electronic archiving.
  • Scan monthly vouchers according to required specifications
  • Upload digital vouchers into designated teams chanell
  • Provide digital vouchers for intenal and external audits upon request
  • Administrative Support services: The Accounts Admin Assistant
  • Checks the vouchers and receipts submitted by the projects/programmes for completeness.
  • Numbers vouchers and allocates cost units and categories, and corrects these where necessary
  • Support with document preparation for internal and external auditsBe specific when describing each of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of University Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, or any social science related field
  • Professional experience
  • Minimum of two years of general work experience
  • Minimum of one-year professional experience in a comparable position
  • Relevant experience in international organization/technical cooperation agencies is an added advantage; relevant experience in GIZ is a strong advantage. Other knowledge, additional competences
  • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g., MS Office)
  • Good knowledge of the English and any other local language (Ibo, Hausa, Yoruba)
  • Good management and organizational skills experience in office management, accounting and procurement according to GIZ rules and regulations are a strong asset Good communication skill
