Job Title: Business Accountant

Location: Kaduna

Description 

• Timely confirmation of all sales inflows to corporate accounts within 30 minutes
• Ensure all inflows are uniquely identified to sales nodes and trade channels
• Collation of all ARD receivables from the sales node
• Monitor ageing of trade debts
• Flag off debts exceeding 30days credit limit
• Advise on timing of stock retrieval for each ARD Debt
• Ensure receivables are adequately covered by an approved credit framework
• Monitor ageing of debt
• Flag off debt at 7 days to expiration of approved credit
• Review business performance from each node (Revenue generation visavis running cost)
• Advise on the breakeven point of sales for each node to remain profitable
• Ensure monthly postings of accrued expenses to the respective accrual accounts
• Monitor accruals against actual disbursement with Zero overbudgetary spend without extra budgetary approval
• Vet reported stock balances by the warehouse officers for accuracy with SAGE postings for month end reports
• Ensure all asset classes are insured (New, existing or replaced items)
• Timely renewal of insurance policies when due
• Process all insurance claims due to the company on reported incidences across business functions
• Reported cash position must be accurate in with bank statements
• Ensure all retailers have completed their KYC form, properly signed with their individual passports
• The KYC forms must be dormiciled at the Corporate Office
• All discounts to ARD must be vetted and should only be applied to dealers who have completed KYC documentations
• No discounts must be given to dealers not on the approved credit list for ARD for the financial year
• All returns from the ARD must be approved by the MD and subject to germination tests at the sales nodes
• Ensure all postings of day transactions are done on SAGE and Lionheart
• Prepare month end journals for signoff before posting at least 7days to end of month reporting
• Post journals at least 3working days to end of month reporting deadline
• Timely submission of SAGE trial balances with both Credit & Debit tallied
• Timely submission of notes to the balances itemized on the Trial balances
• Prepare on Seed Co Template; management packs for Finance Manager review
• Submit consolidated weekly reports detailing sales, inventories, cashflows and receivables

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in relevant fields with 3 – 5 years work experience.
