Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven business development officer to drive business growth and increase profitability.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for the business and a proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meets a monthly team target of at least 80%
  • Supports business development manager and supervises the team members to ensure that they work in line with set standards.
  • Develop business proposals, teach team members how to prepare proposals and make presentations to clients.
  • Research and develop business marketing plans to achieve revenue goals and business opportunity
  • Provides motivation and encouragement to team members
  • Ensure team members prepare their weekly call memos and keep detailed records.
  • Ensure team members record their transactions daily and submit same to the Business development Manager
  • Accompany team members on calls and assists with presentations to the client
  • Update rates daily on the company’s website.
  • Answer team member’s questions, help solve problems they encounter in marketing and advise them on the best strategies to adopt.
  • Communicate deadlines and sales goals to team members
  • Conduct team meetings as often as possible to plan and strategize on the best way to meet targets.
  • Provides quality customer service including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development, marketing or sales, preferably in the Financial sector
  • Sound Risk Management experience.
  • Ability to disburse SME Loans in large volumes without default.
  • Ability to open an investment portfolios
  • Must be a goal getter and aggressive marketer
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive business decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
