Description 

• Our client is looking for a Business Development Officer in its office in Lekki Phase 1. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 3 years experience in Leasing or Finance Company or a Bank.

Job Description

• Responsible to meet the firm’s approved strategy/plan to facilitate achievement of related short-term and long-term business goals in the most effective and efficient manner according to the supervision and direction of management.
• Proactively identify sales opportunities and deliver value-added, needs-based solutions
• Deliver customer base growth, achieve growth targets, and maximize the financial contribution of the finance business
• Planning and working closely with marketing colleagues on developing the business coverage.
• Drive end-to-end product management lifecycle.
• Ensure product availability is implemented as per strategy.
• Manage and oversee the process of enhancing customer service quality and promote new customers aligned with senior management strategy.
• Identify new business development strategies to build and strengthen the Finance firm’s portfolio and work with our product specialists to maximize cross-selling opportunities.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the area of finance house/leasing/banking business development manager, sales and marketing executive, or a relevant role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent product knowledge and experience in loan syndication/structuring transactions/debt securitization and investments.
• Sufficient knowledge of the market/trends, banking trends, and regulatory changes.
• Competitor analysis to better strategize for business development strategies.
• Excellent industrial, market, and product knowledge in corporate finance.
• Positive attitude, proactive, eager, and demonstrated experience in the change management process.
