Title: Consultant, Talent Management

Location: Nigeria

Employment Type: 6 Months Full Time Contract

The Opportunity

  • Reporting to the Director of Talent, the Consultant Talent Management, on a full time basis will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of talent management including talent assessments and succession planning.
  • The successful hire will ensure that the Foundation has the right people and skills to achieve it’s strategic objectives.

Ways You Can Contribute

  • Developing and implementing talent management programs, policies, frameworks, and initiatives aligned with talent strategies and the Foundation’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture and other departments to identify talent needs, manage critical talent pools/succession plans and ensure that the Foundation has the right talent to achieve its goals.
  • Create strategies, tools, and frameworks for identifying high potential talent within the Foundation.
  • Develop and maintain competency models with input from Business Partners and others in the Talent CoE.
  • Support the design and delivery of talent assessments and performance management processes, including setting goals and defining guidelines for performance conversations and feedback, ensuring that processes are fair, consistent, and aligned with the Foundation’s mission, vision and values.
  • Work with Business Partners to ensure programs comply with regional regulations and to fine tune program effectiveness.
  • Support internal and global mobility by developing and implementing the right frameworks and guidelines for talent decisions that involve movements within the Foundation.
  • Routinely review people metrics to generate talent insights.
  • Perform strategic level talent planning and policy development for offboarding and Alumni Management at the Foundation with support from other specialists within Talent Management as required.

Who You Are

  • Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources or related field.
  • Possess minimum of fifteen (15) years overall experience with at least five (5) years being at management level.
  • Have minimum 10 years experience leading and managing teams with proven ability to motivate and energize others.
  • Progressive Human Resource experience serving in strategically focused roles.
  • Senior level experience including leading and directing integrated Talent programs with a special focus on Africa.
  • Relevant professional qualification.
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
