Job Summary

  • We are seeking a passionate Content Developer with a strong background in automotive content creation.
  • This role involves producing daily automotive-related articles that engage our audience, support SEO efforts, and contribute to our digital platforms.
  • The ideal candidate will excel in creating, editing, and managing content that keeps our site informative and relevant, particularly around car reviews, pricing, specifications, and celebrity-related car topics.

Job Description

  • The Content Developer will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing high-quality automotive content for Carlots.ng’s website and digital platforms.
  • This role demands a creative individual who can meet daily deadlines, craft SEO-friendly content, and maintain accuracy and relevance across our platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Write and publish a minimum of 3 automotive-related articles daily (Monday to Friday).
  • Research and identify trending topics within the automotive industry.
  • Create content on various car-related topics, including reviews, pricing, specifications, and celebrity cars.
  • Edit and optimize content to meet SEO best practices, focusing on high-ranking keywords.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to Carlots.ng’s target audience.
  • Develop content strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align content with overall marketing strategy.
  • Regularly monitor and update published content to keep information fresh.
  • Use WordPress and other content management systems to publish and manage content.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Content Writer or Content Developer.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or knowledge of automotive topics is a plus.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong eye for detail.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO principles and experience with SEO-friendly content.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to identify industry trends.
  • Proficiency with content management systems, especially WordPress.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital communication tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive topics is essential.

Other Requirements:

  • AI-assisted writing is prohibited and will lead to immediate contract termination without pay.
  • Demonstrable portfolio of published content, ideally within the automotive niche.

Remuneration

  • Competitive salary (N50,000 – N70,000 monthly), commensurate with experience.
