Summary of Role

• Managing and analysing the company’s costs to ensure effective financial planning and control.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a detailed analysis of product costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead, to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
• Monitor and analyze cost variances, providing explanations for any discrepancies between actual and budgeted costs.
• Identify and implement process improvements related to cost accounting procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency of financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to cost accounting.
• Provide support in the finance department and contribute to financial planning and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division in  Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 7 years cognate experience in cost accounting or related roles in oil and gas industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control and cost accounting
• Qualified Accountant (ICAN, ACCA)
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
