Next Basket is a firm that creates and sells a SaaS e-commerce platform for the creation of online storefronts. The structure’s primary directorates are Software Production, Commercial Directorate, and Services, with each having a matrix arrangement of tasks.

Title: Deputy Chief Technology Offier (CTO)

Location: Maitama, Abuja

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• You will collaborate with the CTO to formulate and execute the organization’s technology strategy;
• You will be responsible for ensuring employees in IT work productively and develop professionally;
• You will be responsible to allocate and manage technology resources effectively;
• You will have to collaborate with architects and technical teams to define and maintain technology architecture standards;
• You will be responsible to hiring local IT staff;
• You will have to provide strategic advice and recommendations to the CTO and other senior leaders on technology-related matters
• You will have to mentor and develop technology team members;

What Will You Be Doing Every Day?

• Work closely and manage the local IT staff;
• Report to the CTO of the daily achievements of the team;
• Engaging and maintaining relationships with company stakeholders;
• Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors;
• Mentor and guide technology team members in their professional development and skill enhancement
• Identifying IT potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Our Expectations

• Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or other relevant fields;
• 7+ years of experience on a similar role;
• Proven experience in IT;
• Proven experience in E-commerce;
• Proven experience in people management;
• Results-Oriented Approach;
• Organization and Time Management ability.
