Job Summary
- We are looking for a talented and qualified DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to work with our developers and the IT staff to oversee the code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding.
- The job holder will increase productivity by creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones.
Responsibilities
What You’ll do
- Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Plan the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.
- Be familiar with AWS and GCP cloud platforms and their respective products
- Set- up tools and required infrastructure
- Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations
- Deploy technical skills to review, verify, and validate the software code developed projects.
- Troubleshoot techniques and support issues resolution
- Be an integral stakeholder in creating and maintaining highly available server workload
- Dockerize application and microservices and manage helm deployment needs for the applications (EKS cluster).
- Monitor processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and update or create new processes for improvement and minimise wastage
- Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible
- Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management tests
- Incidence management, root cause analysis and disaster recovery
- Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Be ready to support IAC powered AWS resources and help maintain terragrunt deployment via Atlantis
- Be willing to access and advice on areas of improvement for the existing infrastructure
- Also play a vital role in providing automation scripts/processes to help enhance dev processes
- Work with other stakeholders to document DevOps processes. Create new runbooks and wiki guides or update existing ones to keep everything in place.
- Be in charge of application monitoring and logging, a robust alert system should also be maintained for incidence reporting.
- Attend a daily Agile (Scrum) meeting to identify, groom, and report progress on development projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or any IT-related field.
- Experience working in a Fintech environment.
- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
- Excellent understanding of Ruby, Python, Perl, and Java
- Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo
- Excellent troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
