Title: Front Desk Receptionist

Location: Kano

  • We are currently seeking a professional and customer-oriented Front Desk Staff (Receptionist) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer care service, preferably within a healthcare environment, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Criteria

Formal Education   

  • A minimum of OND (Ordinary National Diploma) in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline.

Work Experience    

  • Proven experience as a Front Desk Staff or Receptionist.
  • Customer service work experience and knowledge of customer service etiquette.
  • Good previous work attendance record.
  • Experience of working in healthcare setting for at least 6 months.
  • Familiarity with administrative tasks related to patient registration, scheduling, and billing.

Skills    

  • Strong and competent computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

  • Ability to cope with customer request and demands in professional, prompt and courteous manner.

  • Ability to resolve customer complaints.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Able to multitask with competing work priorities and ensure efficient operations at the front desk.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and billing practices.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the hospital’s needs.
