Job Brief
- This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical operations and network infrastructure of a telecom company.
- This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the company’s telecommunications networks and systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for network infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.
- Oversee planning, installation, configuration, and optimization of network equipment.
- Ensure network availability, scalability, and reliability to meet customer demands.
- Implement network monitoring and management tools for issue resolution.
- Conduct regular capacity planning and collaborate on network architecture definition.
- Continuously optimize network performance, quality of service, and efficiency.
- Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships.
- Implement robust security measures and stay updated on threats and standards.
- Establish disaster recovery plans and conduct audits and assessments.
- Ensure network security and resilience.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in senior-level technical and network management roles within the telecommunications industry. Having Over 22 years of cognate experience
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications networks, protocols, technologies, and standards.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in network planning, optimization, and capacity management.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in telecommunications, such as 5G, cloud computing, and virtualization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record in leading and managing technical teams, including remote and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards in the telecommunications sector.
- Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and financial management principles.
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Professional certifications in telecommunications or network-related disciplines (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, PMP) are desirable.
