Title: Head, HR and Admin (Automobile)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the administration unit, including managing the administrative staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring that all administrative functions are performed efficiently.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures to ensure that the company operates smoothly and efficiently
  • Oversee the management of office facilities and equipment, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Oversee vendor contracts management for office services, such as janitorial, security, and maintenance services.
  • Oversee the company’s travel arrangements including booking flights, accommodation, and transportation for employees and visitors.
  • Ensure implementation of safety and security policies and procedures by the company for a safe and secure work environment for all employees
  • Manage the company’s fleet of vehicles including maintenance, repairs and upgrades, and fuel management system.
  • Oversee the management of the company’s inventory of office supplies, ensuring that supplies are available when needed and are used efficiently.
  • Develop and implement effective space planning and utilization strategies to ensure that the company’s facilities are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the company’s insurance and local government programs, ensuring that the company is adequately covered for all risks.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the company’s lodge across the country.

Human Resources

  • Work closely with the business leaders to identify talent needs and develop workforce plans that align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement HR and administrative strategies that are aligned with the company’s overall business strategy and objectives, taking into account local laws and regulations, cultural norms, and market trends.
  • Develop and implement effective employee retention strategies to minimize turnover and maintain a stable high performing workforce.
  • Implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, learning and development, records management, succession planning, employee and industrial relations, and retentions.
  • Develop and implement effective compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s overall compensation philosophy.
  • Manage the company performance management cycle, implementation of change, reward and compensation strategy, and employee engagement strategy.
  • Develop and implement effective training and development programs to ensure that employees have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles and support the company’s growth and success.
  • Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure that the company has a pipeline of talented leaders and employees who are prepared to assume key roles as needed.
  • Ensure that the HR and administration department operates efficiently and effectively with a focus on continuous improvement and optimal use of resources across locations.
  • Oversee the activities of the managers for both human resources and administration and provide guidance as required.
  • Oversee the proceedings of disciplinary and sanction/infraction grid execution.
  • Measures the quality of projects, tasks, and KPIs executed in the team on a weekly basis.
  • Preparation of management report weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

Requirements Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources or management
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience, five of which is a supervisory role
  • Expert business and organizational planning ability
  • Vast experience in leadership
  • Successful experience in employee relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strategic thinking ability
  • Proven ability to multitask
