OutsideIn HR – Our client, a reputable Financial Institution, is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Title: Head, Internal Audit

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
The Ideal Candidate will perform the following responsibilities:

  • Develop annually a risk-based internal audit plan for Audit Committee review and approval.
  • Oversee the implementation of the approved plan, ensure proper resourcingfor implementation of the plan, and adjust the plan as needed in response to changes in business risks, operations, programs, systems and controls.
  • Keep senior management and Audit Committee apprised of any changes needed to the
    internal audit plan.
  • Perform organization-wide risk assessments to identify significant risks or exposure related to internal ] controls or compliance with policies and procedures, laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing career paths for direct report

Education and Work Experience Requirements

  • HND or First Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • ACA/ACCA is required
  • Minimum of 14 years’ experience in auditing, 5 of which must have been in Senior
  • Management capacity in the Financial Sector (Insurance Industry preferably)
  • Deep experience in auditing and control
  • Good knowledge of laws and regulation in insurance industry
  • Coordinate full annual audit for operational effectiveness
  • High-skilled professional.
