Job Objective

• The Head of Marketing will be responsible for the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies to drive business growth and increase brand awareness. The role requires a deep understanding of the financial industry and the ability to innovate in a dynamic market.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continually refine a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the bank’s business objectives.
• Monitor market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and make recommendations regarding marketing strategy.
• Collaborate with different stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of strategic marketing plans including defining success criteria, measuring effectiveness of initiatives, and reporting on results.
• Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
• Provide leadership in business development strategy and execute regular sales activities to generate business.
• Manage and enhance the bank’s brand image and positioning in the market.
• Collaborate with product teams to create and execute effective marketing campaigns for new and existing financial products.
• Set annual marketing performance goals for the bank branches and all staff.
• Ensure that all marketing activities comply with regulatory standards and ethical practices.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or M.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking & Finance or a related field
• Proven microfinance experience in similar role.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Sound understanding of the banking industry, particularly microfinance banking services, regulations, and professional standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Excellent organizational, managerial, and decision-making skills.
• Not more than 35 years old.
