Job Summary

• A reputable Group of companies with interests in Insurance Broking, Real Estate and Management Consulting, with a proven track record of excellence for over four decades seeks to hire a result-oriented professional as its Head of Finance & Administration.
• The successful candidate will report to the Group Executive Director and manage the general financial operations and enhance accuracy of financial results.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial management and leadership support across the business, in line with the overall corporate objectives.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements as per management requirement.
• Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
• Manage and coordinate the formulation of the financial plan and annual budgets. Monitors progress towards their achievements.
• Ensure that the organization makes all required government remittances as and when required.
• Liaise with external auditors; and ensure the annual and/or periodic audits are seamlessly carried out.
• Implement and monitor internal controls.

Requirements

• BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance or any other relevant discipline
• Must have relevant professional certifications (ICAN or ACCA)
• Minimum of 7 years’ accounting experience and at least 4 years in a managerial position
• Rich knowledge of accounting principles with strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS
• A good understanding of the accounts of an insurance broking firm will be an advantage but not compulsory
• High degree of Integrity and Transparency is a MUST
• Proficiency in the use of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is a MUST
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
