Job Description

• We are seeking to employ a highly organised, competent and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills, cognate experience and demonstrable ability to provide first class Financial Control services to our financial institution.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Person Specification

• BSc / HND in Accounting, Economics or other Financial disciplines from a reputable higher institution
• Possession of a Master’s Degree in Accounting will be an added advantage
• Minimum of Associate membership of ACCA / ICAN is mandatory.
• Candidate must also possess at least 8 demonstrable years in Financial Management from a reputable financial institution
• Demonstrable organisation and strong people management skills.
