Job Description
- The HR Manager at will be pivotal in driving human resources strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- This role will focus on fostering a positive work culture, managing talent acquisition, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the brand’s overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of human capital.
- Nurture a positive working environment by promoting corporate values and shaping a strong company culture.
- Manage and administer employee benefits and compensation programs.
- Implement performance management systems to drive high performance and employee development.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports related to staffing, turnover, and other metrics.
- Recommend improvements to HR policies and procedures as needed.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in HR roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven experience in strategic HR planning and implementation.
Professional Certification / Affiliations:
- Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Experience with HRIS and other HR management software
- Deep understanding of Nigerian labor legislation and HR best practices especially in the FMCG Sector.
- Familiarity with HR functions such as recruitment, compensation, performance management, and employee relations.
