Title: Information Technology Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to: Head of Human Resource Management/Admin

Duties

IT Management:

  • Manage information technology and computer systems for the bank.

Hardware and Software Configuration:

  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.

Operations Planning and Evaluation:

  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.

Systems Design and Coordination:

  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.

Data Security and Network Access:

  • Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems.

Problem Identification and Solutions:

  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner.

User Accounts Management:

  • Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and address password-related issues.

Technology Audits:

  • Conduct regular technology audits to assess and improve IT infrastructure efficiency.

Software Development Oversight:

  • Provide oversight for software development projects, ensuring alignment with business needs.

IT Training and Support:

  • Conduct training sessions for staff on IT systems and provide ongoing support.

Emerging Technology Assessment:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential applications for the bank.

Collaboration with External Vendors:

  • Collaborate with external vendors for IT-related services and solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Oversight:

  • Monitor and enhance cybersecurity measures to protect the bank’s digital assets.

IT Budget Management:

  • Contribute to the planning and management of the IT budget.

Disaster Recovery Planning:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for IT systems.

Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years working experience in the financial sector.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in technical management and information analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems.
  • Ability to document procedures and policies effectively.

Salary
