Interviews for PTDF 2024/2025 Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS) Begins Across 6 Geopolitical Zones
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS) for 2024/2025 has commenced its interview process on May 20th, 2024. Scheduled to run until May 24th, the interview takes place in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, marking a crucial step in the scholarship selection process.
The Head OSS, Mrs Bolanle Kehinde-Agboola made it known that this year, the PTDF received a total of 20,356 applications, with 16,090 candidates applying for the Master’s (MSc) program and 4,266 for the Doctorate (PhD) program.
Following a rigorous screening process, 5,733 candidates were shortlisted for the interview stage—comprising 3,853 MSc applicants and 1,880 PhD applicants.
The PTDF OSS is a prestigious program aimed at fostering academic excellence.The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and other associated costs, enabling Nigerians to study at some of the world’s leading universities.
The interview phase is a critical component of the selection process. Candidates are evaluated on various criteria, including ,but not limited to academic performance, research potential, and the relevance of the proposed study to the development of the Oil and Gas sector in Nigeria.
Successful candidates from the interview round will be awarded the PTDF OSS for 2024/2025 academic session.
