Job Description
- Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled IT Manager specializing in hardware and networking to oversee the brand’s IT infrastructure and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- As the IT Manager – Hardware/Networking, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining brand’s hardware and networking systems.
- Your role involves overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware components, as well as managing network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and data security.
Responsibilities
- Procure, install, and maintain hardware components such as servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Manage hardware inventory, including asset tracking and lifecycle management.
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization’s IT assets and data.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Administer operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS, ensuring software updates and patches are applied in a timely manner.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Implement backup solutions to ensure the integrity and availability of data.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Liaise with hardware and software vendors to procure IT equipment and services.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and networking issues promptly.
- Collaborate with helpdesk and support teams to address user concerns.
- Maintain documentation of hardware configurations, network diagrams, and IT procedures.
- Generate regular reports on IT infrastructure performance, security incidents, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- 5+ years of proven experience in IT management, specializing in hardware and networking.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
- Experience with server and desktop operating systems, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
