Job Summary
- Support the Senior Engineer to provide effective solutions to meet client’s information and communication technology needs, including team leadership to achieve corporate objectives.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing solutions by collecting information on needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; and investigating problem areas.
- Support the Senior Engineer to determine operational feasibility of projects by evaluation, analysis, problem definition, requirements identification, solution development, and cost implications determination.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, codes etc.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal network; and professional development.
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
- Accomplish engineering assignments by deploying requisite competencies to meet clients’ needs.
- Any other duties assigned by Management.
Position Objective and Key Performance Indicators
- Team up with the Senior Engineer and other Engineers to ensure that the ICT needs of Edgebase and clients are successfully met, including ddesigning, developing, and installing software solutions.

- Number of Return Calls/ Works from Assignments Handled
- Achievement of Agreed Turnover
- Adherence to Agreed Budget/ Expenditure
- Number of Complaints
- Quality and Timeliness of Reports
Job Specification
Academic and Professional:
- Degree qualified in the fields of ICT, Engineering, Sciences or other related fields. Master’s Degree would be added advantage.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies is required.
Experience:
- At least 3 years experience from an ICT environment, with responsibility for leading a team of engineers.
