Job Description

  • To lead the corporate/physical security function for Matrix, including responsibility for its overall corporate security strategies, development & oversight of its security architecture. To guard and protect Matrix Energy Limited staff and her assets.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Advises management on security implications and requirements of the Corporate Strategy.
  • Works with management to prioritize initiatives and associated spending based on the appropriate risk assessments.
  • Prepares the annual security budgets and drives its implementation.
  • Oversee and coordinate security efforts on the company facilities.
  • Identify security initiatives and standards.
  • Develop Procedures to ensure physical safety of employees and visitors.
  • Ensure security is maintained and updated.
  • Create workplace violence awareness and prevention programmes
  • Implement total video Surveillance.
  •  Prioritize security initiatives.
  • Develop Network access and monitoring policies.
  • Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
  • Develop emergency procedures and incident responses.
  • Investigate Security Breaches.
  • Conduct audits to find holes in security platforms.
  • Liaison with host community and mediate in conflict resolution.
  • Any other duties assigned by Management of Matrix Energy Limited.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Psychology, or any other related field.
  • Must have at least 7 years experience as a CSO in a private sector with proven achievements.
  • Must have Military or Para Military back experience.
  • Must have attended trainings or have work experience on intelligence gathering and conflict resolution.
  • Must have attained the position of Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent.
  • Must have professional relationship with road (LASTMA, FERMA, FRSC..etc)    Sea (NAVY, NIMASA and other regulatory bodies).

2). Audit Officer

Job Description

  • The employee in this position is mainly responsible for the internal audits of Matrix Finance and Accounts Unit.
  • All processes, activities and transactions of the afore-mentioned unit shall be closely monitored and audited by the employee in this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review of Finance and Account departments’ activities.
  • Review of monthly bank reconciliation statements
  • Review of monthly stock reconciliation.
  • Administration of POS terminals, deployment, and settlements.
  • Liaising with the Bank and Retail Stations on POS Chargebacks.
  • Review of General Ledgers.
  • Account Process Review and Improvement.
  • Ensure compliance to timely rendition of taxes and other statutory payments.
  • Ensure Prepayments and Depreciation are observed and updated correctly on database as per company policies in a timely manner.
  • Follow-up on Audit Exceptions to ensure prompt closure.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications for the Role:

  • HND / B.Sc in Accounting or any other Business related courses.
  • Certification in ACA/ACCA is compulsory.
  • Minimum of 4 Years experience in a relatable role but   Internal Audit will be an added advantage.
  • Consulting background would be an added advantage.
  • Age should not be more than 32 years.

3). Head – Projects

Job Description

  • The Head, Projects is to oversee and supervise all activities of the construction project from start to finish.
  • You will be required to coordinate with other employees and personnel on the project requirements and ensure they are delivered on time.
  • You are responsible for the smooth functioning of this construction project and its successful deliverance.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience in overseeing the construction project from start to finish.
  • Develop and manage project budgets in line with costing and quantity
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to understand the project details and requirements.
  • Ensure quality products and materials are used at all times
  • Ability to organize, control and manage time
  • Carryout periodic and routine repairs and maintenance at all locations
  • Knowledge of best practices in construction and architecture.
  • Exposure to the construction industry and its various responsibilities
  • Network with external contractors and negotiate to attain the best deals and rates for assignments.
  • Ensure permits and licenses are obtained and maintained in order.
  • Recruit personnel and contractors for the project as per requirements.
  • Delegate tasks and assign responsibilities to personnel and ensure they are carried out.
  • Monitor the performance of personnel on site and provide directions and feedback as and when required.
  • Ensure resources are being used to the optimum to provide best results.
  • Address any grievance of personnel.
  • Report any discrepancies to superiors and implement effective and timely solutions.
  • Ensure all legal, health and safety regulations are being followed throughout the project.

  • Completion of projects based on agreed timelines
  • Timely completion of all structural designs on time for commencement of planned projects
  • Timely preparation of construction budget
  • Ensure that there is no budget overrun on each project
  • Track project timelines and ensure timely completion
  • Timely and error free periodical reports
  • Ensure all periodic repairs and maintenance are carried out based on timelines
  • Strict adherence to all HSSE requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Building or Construction Engineering, Quantity Surveyor Architecture or relevant professions.
  • 5 – 7 years relevant work experience in relevant field.
  • Project management professional certification or any equivalent qualification is an added bonus.
  • Team player and collaborative nature.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of building permits, legal requirements and construction procedures.
  • Well versed with construction and project management software.
