Job Summary

Duties
- Position provides technical security support and services to posts in its respective geographic region.
- Manages the ESC/ESO inventory and is responsible for supply chain management, logistics operations, procurement, and inventory reconciliation of technical systems and equipment maintained by the ESC/ESO at its post of residence and constituent posts throughout the region. A

Duties
- Job holder provides security for U.S. personnel and facilities by conducting Surveillance Detection (SD) operations as a member of a tactical team of SD personnel.
- SD Monitors observe, recognize, and report potential surveillance and other suspicious incidents directed against U.S. Government facilities and/or personnel and initiate emergency responses to possible hostile actions, as necessary, to safeguard life and property.
Education Requirements
- Completion of secondary or high school is required
Experience:
- A minimum of one (1) year of military, policy, or private experience in the field of security is required.
Job Knowledge:
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques, familiarity with local pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns and habits, awareness of cultural norms and customs are required.
- Good working knowledge of the host city’s geography and general culture is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess a valid Nigerian driver’s license.
- Must be skilled in the use of communications equipment, cameras, and basic information technology systems.
- Must provide detailed oral reports.
- Must work independently and adapt to a wide range of threat and environmental conditions.
- Must have good observation skills.

3). Safety, Environment & Sustainability Assistant

Duties
- Reporting to the Facility Manager (FM), the incumbent is assigned to Facility Management (FAC) at the U.S. Consulate and will assist the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO) and the Assistant POSHO in performing his/her duties by performing safety inspections at all compounds of the U.S. Consulate’s government-owned and leased properties.
- Incumbent will also act as the FAC liaison for all post Green Team projects and coordinate with Political/Economic Section’s Environment, Science, Technology and Health (ESTH) representatives to support Mission sustainability goals.
Requirements
- Completion of High School is required.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years prior experience in an office or management related position is required.
Job Knowledge:
- General knowledge of office working environments is required.
- Basic understanding of host nation government entities that intersect with their proposed workload is beneficial, as it will provide guidance on how best to navigate future engagements.
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic keyboard skills and computer literacy, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Must be observant, flexible, service oriented and is comfortable making presentations.
- Ability to possess a valid secret clearance is required.
Salary
- USD37,896 / Year.
