1). Executive Assistant – Marketing

Location: Lagos

Role Positioning and Objectives

  • The Executive Assistant main responsibility is to provide comprehensive and proactive support to the Head of Trade Marketing on a wide range of complex tactical and administrative tasks whilst prioritising and taking personal responsibility for all activities in order to enhance effectiveness.
  • The Executive Assistant will also be responsible for executing defined work projects of moderate complexity.

Key Responsibilities
Business:

  • Manage the work schedule (electronic calendars, visits and work plans) for the Head of Trade Marketing, as required.
  • Develop and implement reports, memos and other analysis and communication materials for internal and external use using the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Co-ordinate meetings, internal and external engagements, conferences (local and global), workshops and team-building events with professionalism and to a high level of competency.
  • Responsible for organising extensive global travel arrangements (transportation, hotels and visas) as required.
  • Perform routine transactions such as cash advance, expense statements and retirements as required
  • Prepare complex presentations and briefings
  • Main custodian of the review team meeting minutes
  • Good influencing and facilitation skills to act as the interface between end market business units, procurement and Vendors with regards low value sourcing.

People:

  • Effectively interface with the Executive Assistants of the West Africa Area Leadership Team to achieve targets
  • Effective relationship with and role model to Executive Assistants within BAT and in other companies
  • Develop self through training, learning and development opportunities
  • Identify areas for improvement and execute improvement plans as required.

Requirements
What are we looking for?

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / BA Degree
  • Solid secretarial and administrative skills, including excellent verbal and written communication
  • Self-starter, keen and confident to use own initiative
  • Proactive “can do” work ethic – flexible approach to working
  • Solid interpersonal skills – mature, responsible, assertive attitude with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to establish priorities, maintain confidentiality and work under pressure
  • Good numeric skills to work with financial systems and resolve queries
  • Very good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • French Language is a plus.

2). Production Lead

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Function: Operations
Sub Function: Operations – Manufacturing

Responsibilities
Business:

  • Ensures daily production target are met in terms of volume and brand mix.
  • Ensures set quality parameters are maintained during manufacturing
  • Ensures Staff compliance with EHS standards
  • Ensures machine availability to meet set target for machine uptime.
  • Ensures supply of materials from supporting departments for processing.
  • Monitors all raw materials required for manufacturing activities and ensure that the right materials are used all the time in the manufacturing of cigarettes.
  • Ensures adherence to all procedures and work instructions

Leadership Objectives:

  • Ensures operational records are kept and other administrative tasks attended to.
  • Plan and implement development programmes for subordinates
  • Management performance of subordinates
  • Coaching

Management Objectives:

  • Effective and efficient deployment of resources
  • Operates within agreed budget.
  • Daily production planning.
  • Updating production equipment and maintenance documentation
  • Ensures that BAT EHS guidelines are followed when manufacturing cigarettes on one production machine.

Relationship Objectives:

  • Ensure subordinates attend all briefing session.
  • Ensure adequate communications among Team members.
  • Ensures the desired communication is maintained with between all partners especially QA, PMD, Filter Rod, R&RS etc.
  • Ensures that Shift reports are maintained across board.

Innovation Objectives:

  • Continuously looking for innovative ways of carrying out production process.
  • Installing new and existing equipment upgrade

Education / Qualifications / Experience Required

  • HND in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or OND with 5 years relevant experience.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
General skills required:

  • Knowledge of production processes and ability to use the computer.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in FMCG manufacturing company.
  • Good analytical ability.
  • Must be a team player.
