Kebbi State University of Science and Technology (KSUSTA) – Located in Aliero, Kebbi State, Nigeria, the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology (KSUSTA) is a state-owned institution. It provides a wide range of programs, including agriculture and sciences, among others. As the 79th university established in Nigeria, KSUSTA follows the guidelines outlined in the University Law of 2006. In line with this legislation, applications are now being accepted from eligible candidates for an upcoming vacancy, set to commence on the 12th of July, 2023.
1). Bursar
Location: Aliero, Kebbi
The Position
- The Bursar is a principal officer and Chief Finance Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
- For the post, the University seeks applicant with vision, academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life.
- The applicant should have the ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the emerging needs of the University, command respect and engender cooperation and loyalty of staff and students of the University.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicant for this post:
- Must possess good honors Degree not below second class lower division in Accounting from a recognized University, possession of higher Degrees(s) is an added advantage:
- Must be a registered member of ICAN, ANAN or CPA;
- Must have attained the rank of Deputy Bursar in a University;
- Mmust have not less than fourteen (14) years of unbroken service in the University:
- Must have demonstrable competence in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with a working knowledge of relevant accounting Packages; and
- Must be able to provide sound financial and administrative leadership.
- The applicant shall not be more than Fifty five (55) years at the time of application.
Conditions of Service
- The remuneration and other conditions of service are as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council.
- The successful applicant shall hold office for five (5) years as determined by the Council.

2). University Librarian
Location: Aliero, Kebbi
The Position
- The University Librarian shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the overall administration of the University Library, its branches and extension and for providing library services to the entire University community.
- The University Librarian is a principal officer and is the head of the University Library. The applicant for the post shall be visionary and have the ability to provide good leadership.
- He/She must possess personal integrity and leadership transparency in private and public life, as well as being able to command the respect and loyalty of staff of the University.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicant for this post:
- Must be professionally qualified and be a practicing librarian;
- Must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Library Science / Library and Information Science from a recognized University. Doctorate Degree will be an added advantage.
- The applicant must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience, ten of which must be unbroken service in the University;
- Must have attained the rank of Principal Librarian in a University;
- Must have contributed to knowledge through research and publication in reputable journals:
- Must be a registered member of the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN); and
- Must have demonstrable competency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
- The applicant shall not be more than Sixty (60) years at the time of application.

- The successful applicant shall hold office for five (5) years as determined by the Council.
