1). Multilateral Partnerships Advisor

Location: Globally, Flexible

Grade: Level 17

Reports to – Director of Partnerships

The Opportunity

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to develop and scale-up key strategic partnership opportunities with UN agencies, multilateral organisations and development banks, exploring areas of collaboration that will result in the greatest transformative change for children.
  • This newly created role will perform a central account management function at the global level in leading organisation-wide engagement with select multilateral entities, working with and on behalf of the entire organisation to better position Plan International and deepen engagement with strategic external partners.
  • In this role  you will consult, cooperate and capitalise on existing organisational strengths; and will be expected to effectively represent Plan International externally and internally; working closely with colleagues at the regional level, as well as the Policy, Advocacy, Campaigns and Engagement (PACE) and Humanitarian team at the Global Hub.

About You

  • The ideal candidate will have first-hand knowledge of the United Nations system, preferably with an understanding of the internal workings of international financial institutions (IFIs) or other multilateral organizations.
  • You will have strong expertise in advocacy, policy, and/or fundraising within international development.
  • A significant awareness of global partner engagement strategies, quality assurance guidelines, monitoring and evaluation frameworks for external partnerships, and partnership capacity building is essential. We are looking for someone with experience in developing new systems and structures with successful outcomes, along with a demonstrable track record of success in building global partnerships and alliances.
  • Extensive knowledge of current issues and trends in international development is also required.

2). Global Assurance Senior Auditor, WACA

Location: Any country office in the WACA, Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Fixed-term contract
Reports to: Global Assurance Manager WACA
Grade: 16

The Opportunity

  • Global Assurance is part of Plan International’s governance framework and was established to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve Plan International’s operations.
  • It helps Plan accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes
  • The role of the GA Senior is to conduct assurance engagements or other reviews at the regional or global level to provide management and the international board with assurance that key systems, programs, processes, policies, and controls are working as expected.
  • The role also includes acting as a team member on various projects or products to implement the GA strategy as agreed upon with the GA Director or GA Managers.
  • Additionally, the role supports the GA Manager in strengthening the second line at the Country offices and acts as a consultant with management teams at the country and regional level about relevant practices in governance, risk, and control of the organisation.
  • The role builds upon audit principles but requires a combination of problem-solving, process improvement, and systems thinking to reduce risk and enhance the performance of the organisation.

About You 

  • You have extensive knowledge of core business operations such as finance, procurement, human resources, and information technology.
  • You know the principles, practices, and techniques of auditing and risk management, and the requirements of the Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
  • You are fluent in both spoken and written English and French. You have a good understanding of project and programme management, especially in the international aid and development sector.
