1). Bursar
Location: Taraba
Job Description
- The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University that is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day financial administration and control of financial affairs of the University.
- The Bursar shall advise the Vice-Chancellor on finance-related matters, co-ordinate the activities of the Bursary Department in line with the Financial Regulations and global best practices;
- The duties shall include monitoring monthly income and expenditure and balance sheet variances against the budgets and ensuring that they are reconciled. monitoring treasury activities including cash flow projections and forecasts for prudence and accountability; negotiating with financial and government institutions with regard to financial matters.
- The candidate must fully understand the complexity of a University system.
- The candidate should demonstrate sufficient knowledge of responsibilities of the Bursar which includes among other things:
- Control and management of funds, investment and loans
- Formulation and implementation of financial policies
- Production of accounting manuals and financial procedures
- Interpretation and application of accounting regulations
- Preparation of annual estimates
- Identifying training needs for manpower development
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates must possess a good degree with minimum of 2″ Class Lower Division in Accounting from a recognised University.
- Possession of Higher Degrees will be an added advantage;
- Post-qualification cognate administrative and professional experience as Deputy Bursar with vast experience in Bursary activities in a university;
- The candidate should demonstrate capacity for management and leadership of teams as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should possess NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of Exemption;
- Candidate must possess Full Membership of any of the following recognized professional bodies: ICAN, ANAN, CA, СРА, АССА;
- Exhibit the ability of a team leader, who leads by example and has clear mentorship skills and plans and must not be more than sixty years of age on assumption of duty.
- The successful candidate should also be able to sustain and improve on the functions of the University Bursary;
- Be focused, innovative, commendable in both character and quality of service.
- Exhibit a considerable degree of competence, responsiveness, demonstrable integrity and transparency on matters of financial resource management.
- Sound background in the application of ICT in financial and administrative management.
Vision Statement:
- Candidates should provide a succinct vision statement of not more than 500 words relating to the University in his/her 5-yeartenure.
Tenure:
- Five (5) years.

2). Registrar
Location: Taraba
Job Description
- The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University except on matters for which other Principal Officers are responsible.
- The Registrar is the custodian of University documents/records and the archives of our past; with a number of faculties and departments and new academic programs being planned, the Registrar carries a huge and enormous responsibility.
- The Registrar shall by virtue of his/her office be the Secretary to Council, Senate, Convocation and Congregation of the University.
- The university seeks candidates with vision, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life.
- The candidate shall therefore be a person of strong moral character with excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to instill confidence in others in addition to commanding the loyalty and respect of the members of the university community.
- The candidate must fully understand the complexity of a university system and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to promote a world-class administrative system.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate dynamism and wisdom when dealing with the affairs of the University, both within and outside the institution.
- The candidate must be versed in the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the 21st Century higher education environment.
- The candidate must also be in good health and not be more than sixty years of age on assumption of duty; the successful candidate should be able to sustain and improve on the University Registry.
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants must possess a good degree (minimum of 2m Class (Lower)) in Humanities or Social Sciences from any recognized University with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as Deputy Registrar in a University; possession of Higher Degrees will be an added advantage.
- Possession of an NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption is mandatory.
- Candidates must possess post-qualification administrative and professional experience.
- Candidates must possess Fellowship/Membership of recognized bodies such as ANUPA, NIM, CIPM, CIA, IPMAN, RAMN, and CAIAUA.
