Title: Legal Officer

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Assist in legal securitization of documents as they relate to company activities.
  • Maintain and organize legal files and documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external parties to gather information and facilitate communication.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address legal issues arising from financial transactions and operations.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of financial transactions, including closings and filings.
  • Provide administrative support, including handling phone calls, emails, and document distribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, with the BL from Law school.
  • A master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal officer or in a similar role within the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and document preparation.
  • of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Basic understanding of financial regulations and legal processes
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal research and the use of relevant software tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
