Title: Legal Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Assist in legal securitization of documents as they relate to company activities.
- Maintain and organize legal files and documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.
- Liaise with internal departments and external parties to gather information and facilitate communication.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address legal issues arising from financial transactions and operations.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of financial transactions, including closings and filings.
- Provide administrative support, including handling phone calls, emails, and document distribution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, with the BL from Law school.
- A master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a legal officer or in a similar role within the financial industry.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and document preparation.
- of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in a financial institution.
- Basic understanding of financial regulations and legal processes
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal research and the use of relevant software tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
