Description

  • The role of a Manager, Reconciliation and Settlements is very important at FairMoney because of its many products and integrations with a number of third party applications.
  • The aim of the role is to ensure that all the transactions of bank (i.e. payments, transfer, card transactions, etc.) are reconciled timely to identify and resolve the open items.

Roles and Responsibilities
The specific job description of the role is as detailed below:

  • Ensure that card withdrawals transactions on our Point of Sale (POS) are reconciled on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Ensure that NIP transactions are reconciled on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Ensure that transfer transactions consummated by our agents on behalf of their clients are accurately reconciled.
  • Ensure that transactions carried out by our debit cards are appropriately reconciled.
  • Ensure that un reconciling items are sent to the concerned counterparty within 48 hours of the transaction happening.
  • Ensure that un reconciling items are resolved with counterparties within five(5) business days.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in numerate discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar role.
  • Good analytical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to details.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Good leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Be an effective team player with a positive attitude.
  • Be Smart and agile.
  • Based in Lagos.
  • Experienced in financial institution, especially Fintech (ie large base of transactions), would be an advantage
  • Need for an enthusiasm and interest in the role ie accounting, reporting, cost control.
  • Focused on timelines and milestones; extremely organised.
  • Doer mentality.
  • Pay attention to details.
