Title: Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer

Job Type: Full Time

Job Purpose

  • Set the strategic business direction and manage the company’s resources & operations.
  • The role will also involve building and sustaining high-level third party relationships that will promote business growth and profitability.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation, execution and monitoring Of the company’s business development, market penetration strategies and operating plans for enhancing business growth and operating efficiency.
  • Define and monitor the annual budget in line with the corporate objectives.
  • Direct and coordinate business activities to attain pre-defined profit, return on capital & other financial targets.
  • Manage relationships with strategic financial, technical, and operating partners to ensure strong and effective alliances are built and maintained to facilitate the company’s business.
  • Network with key industry players and relevant government functionaries to create a positive identification with the company’s brand.
  • Promote adherence to the risk management principles in the company’s enterprise risk management framework for business sustainability.
  • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of effective Community Affairs, Safety, Health, Environment and Security (CASHES) management systems, policies, and procedures.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering or Arts from an accredited institution.
  • Masters’ degree or membership of a relevant professional body is an advantage.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years professional experience with at least five (5) years spent in an executive or strategic senior management role.
  • Must have held an executive management or senior management position in
  • an oil and gas/energy company with an annual turnover of not less than N100 billion or USD 100 Million.
  • A self-starter with strong strategic orientation and decision making abilities.
  • Sound business acumen and leadership capabilities.
  • Good understanding of budgeting and financial statements.
