Job Title: Nutrition Program/Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Intern
Locations: Adamawa, Benue and Taraba
Key Deliverables
- Willingness to work in remote LGA/communities supervising bi-annual MNCHW
- Recognize opportunities for learning and take initiative to learn and participate in activities according to the implementation plan
- Support the state program team to conduct training of health workers and consultants (Independent Monitors and Enumerators)
- Support the state team in implementation of key activities such as; supervision of pre-implementation activities, monitoring of Heath workers and ward level trainings, MNCHW campaign coordination and reporting
- Assist the team to collect quality program data by providing support to facility health workers during data entry into the call-in-data
- Participate in supporting the distribution of MNCHW commodities from the state medical store to the last mile which is the health facility ensuring strict adherence to the distribution plan
- Participate in data quality assessment exercise like spot checks, data validation and supervisor’s coverage surveys
- Work closely with Helen Keller International contracted Independent Monitors and Enumerators for filing/archiving documentation both softcopies and hardcopies of financial documents and ODK supervision checklist
- Adherence to all Helen Keller International policies and procedures as outlined in Helen Keller International policies and procedure manuals
- Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Helen Keller International and to not jeopardize the organization image
- Support the development of case studies and success stories from programme implementation.
- Other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Degree in Nutrition / Health / Public Health or any related fields.
- Experience in Nutrition and community-based programming will be an added advantage
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to be respectful, kind, sensitive and empathize with all beneficiaries
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Understands Hausa
- Acceptable IT Skills.
