Job Title: Office Assistant (Roster Advertisement)

Location: Michika, Adamawa

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The position holder shall be responsible for cleaning the offices and surroundings of the office.
  • He or she will manage the office operation, welcome visitors, and must have good driving knowledge
  • The position holder shall also conduct routine checks on the office facility and report accordingly for appropriate measures or actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general office duties including filing, scanning, and photocopying documents.
  • Cleans rugs, tiles, restrooms, carpets, and furniture using cleaning agents as provided by Nuru Nigeria
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, polishes floor, cobweb walls and ceilings.
  • Pick up and wash dirty kitchen utensils.
  • Maintains housekeeping carts, maintains an inventory of housekeeping amenities, and reports when there is a need for replenishment.
  • Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.
  • Report missing/found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the appropriate authority.
  • Safely operate the office vehicle for errands, deliveries, and staff transport as required.
  • Ensure the office vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage and mileage.
  • Adhere to all driving laws and organizational policies while driving.
  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Provide general information and assistance to staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, and placing, and expediting orders for supplies.
  • Assist in organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments.
  • And any other duty as will be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Certificate or Diploma
  • 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven working experience as a Cleaner, Clerical task, and Driving.
  • Ability to handle equipment
  • Knowledge and understanding of transportation law
  • Good traffic judgment
  • Good knowledge of car mechanics
  • Knowledge of operation and maintenance of the office equipment
  • Excellent driving skills
  • Flexible, effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good at communicating in English
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
