Job Title: Operations Specialist
Location: Lagos
Department: Distribution & Alternate Channels
Description
- Examine loan applications submitted through partners internal platforms to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Verify applicant information, including financial records, credit scores, KYC details, and other necessary documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization, loan applicants, and partners to address queries and gather additional information when needed.
- Collaborate with underwriters, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to expedite loan processing.
- Ensure all loan documentation complies with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and partnership agreements.
- Identify and flag potential risks in loan applications and recommend solutions or alternative strategies.
- Accurately input loan data into the internal system and maintain detailed records for each application.
- Track the status of loan applications and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Generate detailed reports on loan processing activities, highlighting trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing, financial services, or a comparable position.
- Demonstrated proficiency in loan management software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Understanding of financial regulations, credit risk assessment, and loan underwriting procedures.
- Exemplary attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of internal application systems for loan processing is an advantage.
- Experience working with multiple partners or external financial institutions is a plus.
