Job Description
- Our client is a leading oilfield service company providing innovative solutions, technology, and services to the oil and gas industry in the Offshore and Onshore stream
- We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in the Oil and Gas sector.
- The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design, optimization, and implementation of chemical processes related to oil and gas production and refining.
- You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop chemical processes for the extraction, refining, and transportation of oil and gas.
- Conduct feasibility studies and perform process simulations to optimize operations.
- Analyze process data and troubleshoot operational issues to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to ensure all operations adhere to regulations and best practices.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to enhance production reliability.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project proposals and presentations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Participate in risk assessments and safety audits for chemical processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in teams.
