Title: Product Owner

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time, Remote Work Model

The Role

  • This role is exciting, positively challenging, and will provide growth to the prospective role holder.
  • The ideal role holder is an experienced and highly motivated Product Owner who is intelligent and a solution-driven and will be responsible for managing our product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements thereby helping to set the long-term vision and strategy for the company’s products
  • Most importantly, in line with the organization’s standards, he/she should be committed, hard-working, and particular about delivering quality work.

Job Responsibilities
These include but are not limited to:

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Gather, manage, and prioritize market and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Ops, Design, and Support teams to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Possess technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise.
  • Serve as the customer advocate, articulating the user’s and client’s needs.
  • Regularly review completed work and check with customers to ensure it meets their expectations.
  • Develop business cases for new products and improvements to existing products.
  • Develop product positioning strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner
  • Possess a technical understanding of the Finance domain
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing all aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to develop effective product and marketing strategies.
  • Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to achieving valuable results.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
