We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Qualified Accountant

Location: Maitama, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage and oversee all financial transactions, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and conducting audits.
  • Previous experience in managing financial projects or teams is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards is a plus.
