Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our team and oversee the quality management process for our construction projects and production of construction materials.
- The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities adhere to established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction quality management, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities to identify any deviations from quality standards and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure alignment with quality requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the documentation and record-keeping process for quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and quality assurance documentation.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.
- Conduct supplier and subcontractor evaluations to assess their quality performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and other project-related meetings to provide input on quality-related matters.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to construction quality management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction material quality management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in interpreting construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma) is preferred.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
