Pay Day Advance, a financial institution, is hiring to fill the following position:

Title: Recovery Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Description 

• Loan Recovery Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategies for recovering outstanding debts.
  • Create recovery plans for each delinquent account based on the severity of the default.
• Contacting Debtors:
  • Communicate with borrowers to discuss their financial situations and negotiate repayment plans.
  • Initiate and maintain regular contact with delinquent borrowers through various communication channels.
• Investigation:
  • Investigate the reasons behind defaults and assess the financial viability of the borrower.
  • Collect and analyze relevant information to make informed decisions about the best course of action.
• Negotiation and Settlement:
  • Negotiate settlements or restructuring plans that are mutually beneficial for both the borrower and the financial institution.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with borrowers.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to the recovery process.
• Reporting:
  • Provide regular reports to management on the status of delinquent accounts and recovery efforts.
  • Analyze trends and suggest improvements to the recovery process.
• Customer Service:
  • Handle inquiries and concerns from borrowers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to borrowers to help them understand the terms of repayment
• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments such as credit, risk management, and legal to ensure a coordinated approach to recovery efforts.
  • Work closely with external agencies, if necessary, to facilitate the recovery process.
