Job Description
- We are seeking a motivated and proactive Relationship Officer to join our client’s team.
- The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying their financial needs, and providing tailored financial solutions.
- This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of microfinance products, and the ability to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular client visits to assess their financial needs and offer appropriate financial solutions.
- Provide personalized service to high-value clients to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
- Promote and cross-sell the bank’s products and services, including loans, savings accounts, and other financial products.
- Achieve individual and team sales targets through effective sales strategies and initiatives.
- Participate in marketing campaigns and community outreach programs to raise awareness of the bank’s offerings.
Credit Assessment and Risk Management:
- Conduct thorough credit assessments to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
- Prepare and present credit proposals to the credit committee for approval.
- Monitor and manage the loan portfolio to ensure timely repayments and minimize default rates.
- Implement risk management practices to safeguard the bank’s assets and maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
Customer Service and Support:
- Provide clients with accurate and timely information about their accounts and transactions.
- Assist clients with the loan application process, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Educate clients on the bank’s policies, procedures, and financial literacy to empower them to make informed financial decisions.
- Handle client complaints and feedback professionally, escalating issues as necessary to ensure resolution.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, transactions, and loan activities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market trends.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, such as credit, operations, and customer service, to deliver seamless banking experiences to clients.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing best practices and supporting colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Relationship Officer, Sales Representative, or similar role in the microfinance banking industry.
- Strong knowledge of microfinance products, credit assessment, and risk management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and banking software.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
