Job Summary
- As we build towards revenue and funding, we’re offering the unique opportunity to join us with an equity stake, ensuring that your contributions today will be rewarded as we grow.
- We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Content Officer to join our founding team. We are at a critical stage in our growth and have an urgent need for a Chief Content Officer. Ideally, we want someone with previous startup and enterprise who has experience in all phases of the Content execution process.
- Africa is the world’s youngest continent and is expanding the fastest. The number of young people working in Africa will rise to 375 million by 2030.
- The International Monetary Fund estimates that by 2035, there will be more young Africans joining the workforce each year than there are in the rest of the world put together due to population growth on the continent.
- The number of young individuals looking for work is much higher than the number of opportunities that are open to them. The skills of young people entering the workforce and the needs of companies are also out of sync.
- Many young people will have trouble finding employment to improve their living conditions if nothing is done.
- We have spent the last six months investigating the finest methods for creating the talent workflow system that will assist in matching African talents with opportunities. Currently, at the stage of executing the prototype system, business processes while some aspects are live in production to start generating revenue and Marketing.
- We’ll close the skills gap and provide African talent with greater job chances.
- The founders are individuals with top academic backgrounds, professional experience in leading companies at leadership positions & strong technical backgrounds.
- The aim of the company is to become a “unicorn” (one-billion-dollar valuation) in the next 3-5 years as the product market is considerably validated.
- The company’s values are centered on meritocracy, reason, entrepreneurship, and empathy.
- The individuals who will be hired in this position will be given a significant amount of equity given that the company is at the execution stage.
- The person will be working fully remotely on a part-time basis while continuing their current job until we begin generating revenue and securing funding.
- We are at a critical stage in our growth and have an urgent need for a Chief Content Officer. Ideally, this is a growing startup, there is no salary until we can start generating revenue and funding. Founder is open to team members having a main job until funding and revenue are secured.

- We are seeking a Chief Content Officer. This individual may have the opportunity to work on business/Contentsystems, infrastructure, and transformation projects. The person in this role may manage Content and ContentRelated Information. This position location is LAGOS, though the team currently works a remote schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- The Chief Content Officer (CCO) will be responsible for overseeing the development, management, and execution of the company’s content strategy.
- This role involves leading the content team, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand voice and business objectives, and driving the creation of content that resonates with our target audience. The CCO will work closely with other departments, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure a consistent and effective content presence across all channels.
- Content Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and brand identity, ensuring a consistent and engaging content experience across all platforms.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of content creators, editors, and strategists, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of all content, including articles, videos, podcasts, social media posts, and more, ensuring that it is high-quality, on-brand, and tailored to the needs of our audience.
- Editorial Oversight: Establish and maintain editorial standards, ensuring that all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with the company’s voice and tone.
- Content Distribution: Develop and manage content distribution strategies to maximize reach and engagement across various channels, including websites, social media, email, and third-party platforms.
- Audience Engagement: Use data-driven insights to understand audience preferences and behaviors, optimizing content to increase engagement, retention, and growth.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all content reflects the company’s brand values and messaging, maintaining consistency across all touchpoints.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to integrate content into broader marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement strategies.
- Content Performance: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, using insights to refine strategies and improve effectiveness.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging content formats, exploring new ways to engage and expand our audience.
Qualifications
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in content creation, editorial leadership, or a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a creative team.
- Content Expertise: Deep understanding of content creation across various formats and platforms, including digital, print, video, and social media.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement content strategies that align with business goals and drive brand growth.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in using analytics tools to measure content performance and derive actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong sense of storytelling and brand voice.
- Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
