Title: Sales Agent
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door and street-level outreach to promote CrowdAfrik to individuals, small businesses, and community groups.
- Educate potential users on how to use the CrowdAfrik platform to fund personal, business, or community projects.
- Assist new users in setting up their CrowdAfrik accounts and creating compelling campaign pages.
- Educate users on what we look out for in their funding applications to qualify them for funding.
- Meet daily targets for new user registrations and campaign launches.
- Follow up with users to ensure campaign success and encourage repeat usage.
- Collect and relay user feedback to improve the CrowdAfrik user experience.
- Identify and report local market trends and competitor activities.
- Participate in local events, markets, and community gatherings churches and Mosques to promote CrowdAfrik. Collaborate with local influencers, religious leaders, and community heads to gain trust and referrals.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, leads, and conversions in the CRM system.
- Adhere to all company policies, especially those related to ethical fundraising and data privacy.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and sales training sessions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have ND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree
- At least 1 year of experience in direct sales, door-to-door marketing, or community outreach.
- Experience with digital platforms or mobile money services is a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in the local language(s) of the assigned area.
- Basic English proficiency for reporting and team communication.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, relatable terms.
- Basic smartphone proficiency for using the CrowdAfrik app and CRM tools.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of the local community, including key influencers and community dynamics.
- Basic knowledge of personal finance, small business operations, or community projects.
- Familiarity with local challenges that crowdfunding could address (e.g., school fees, small business needs). Personal Qualities:
- High energy, resilience, and persistence in the face of rejections.
- Honest and trustworthy, as you’ll be handling sensitive information.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Empathetic and patient, especially when dealing with tech-hesitant users.
- Passionate about empowering local communities. Additional Requirements:
- Must be a local resident of the assigned sales area.
- Willingness to walk or bike extensively daily.
- Flexible working hours to accommodate community schedules.
