Job Overview
- We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented School Principal to lead the institution. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of school management, ensuring the delivery of quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to staff and students in achieving the school’s mission and goals.
- Develop and implement educational programs that meet national and school-specific curriculum standards.
- Oversee daily school operations, including academics, administration, and extracurricular activities.
- Manage, and mentor a team of dedicated teachers and support staff.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, conducting regular appraisals and facilitating professional development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, community stakeholders, and educational authorities.
- Prepare and manage the school budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Uphold safety and discipline standards to foster a secure and nurturing environment for students and staff.
- Promote extracurricular programs that enhance students’ holistic development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- A good number of years of teaching and administrative experience in a secondary school setting, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian educational system and WAEC/NECO curriculum standards.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using modern administrative tools and technology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic and character excellence.
